What bad habits do you have? And if you got over them, how did you do it?

It's been pointed out to me by my girlfriend that I crack my knuckles excessively. I didn't even realize it, but the last couple of days it's really opened my eyes that it's true. I'm trying to be more mindful of it and just not do it, we'll see how that goes. Undecided

I crack my knuckles probably 12-15 times a day, even my toes. It's bad. My thumbs ache most of the day because of it :-/

I also bite my nails pretty regularly.

I'm sure that there are more, but these are the major ones.

I eat the skin off my fingers absentmindedly.

Other than that I have a habit of never going to bed.

2. Nail Biting Sad
3.
I eat the skin off my fingers absentmindedly.

There are waaay more, both those are the most prevalent.

Nail biting is my big one, because my hands feel the need to always be doing something.  If I'm using the mouse and the other hand is free... nails are being bitten, or else I'm flipping something around in my hands.  I can't stop it.

Also I do crack my right knuckle (the left refuses to crack at all, but the right makes up for it by cracking extremely loudly) and my neck an awful lot.

Another bad habit I've noticed is that I have trouble not sitting on one of my legs when I sit.  My lower body is way taller than my upper body, so I've always felt the need to boost myself up.  This makes for a big problem in more formal situations, where it takes all my willpower to keep myself from doing it.

I got a few that haven't been mentioned. My worst would be the need to the touch the edge or end of a table. I've always had this problem and don't know if anyone else does. Also another strange one is when I put bottles on my finger and start hitting them against each other.

I spend about 2 minutes every morning repositioning everything on my desk.  The night shift tends to leave everything in the wrong spot.  I also have to have my remote controls for my TV, DVD, VCR, Sat lined up facing the same way.  I tend to crack my knuckles and my neck too.

I don't have any of the bad habits you guys have (knuckle cracking, nail biting)

But I do tend to be overly clean and tidy, if that can be seen as a "bad" habit.

If you have a habit of ...getting back into old habits, don't sell of your collection when you think you're going to stop. Simply keep what you have and don't buy new things.
Because re-buying what you already had will always cost you more money than it initially did. Wink
