What games do you think is long overdue for a sequel?  Baseball Stars for sure in my book.  What are your guys's thoughts?

I think the punch out! series can use a new sequel, and if so, hopefully it works like the other ones.

Oh, there are quite some games that definitely need either a sequel or at least a spiritual successor (i.e. Ico / Shadow of the Colossus).
One game that comes to mind would be Zone of the Enders, for example. The first one had a great premise and some promising concepts, but was bogged down by annoying flaws such as the useless camera and the short length. Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, on the other hand, was a total blast and basically the perfect sequel, seeing as how it improved upon its forerunner in every single way.
So where's part 3, Mr. Kojima? Whether it's a full blown part 3 on either Xbox 360/PS3 or a PSP spin-off doesn't matter, I just want to see this series continue.

Then there's Xenosaga. This series has not been easy for me to judge, to be perfectly honest, starting with Xenogears and continuing up to Episode II. However, the story was simply brilliant, and part 3 might very well be the best RPG on PS2. No other game can compare to this series when it comes to engrossing storytelling. So, naturally, I'd love to see either Xenosaga Episode IV or the beginning of a new Xeno series that takes place after the saga events. I'm just afraid of it being on Nintendo Wii, my least favorite console, seeing as how Nintendo basically owns Monolith Soft.

Another RPG series that is in desperate need of a sequel would be the Lunar saga. Part 1 and 2 certainly are all-time classics, no matter whether we're talking about the Sega CD originals or the exquisite remakes. But after Eternal Blue, nothing really came into fruition. There were two Lunar Magic School spin-offs, a GBA remake and...ugh...Lunar: Dragon Song, a most disappointing sequel I will not recognize as the true successor to Eternal Blue. So please, Game Arts, give us Lunar 3! The series must not die, especially not with Dragon Song as the sad dirge, if you will.

Speaking of Game Arts, a new Grandia game would be a treat. Part 1 could very well be my favorite RPG of all time, while part 2 comes extremely close to the through-the-roof quality of the first one. Xtreme is, at the very least, a respectable spin-off with a brilliant battle system, while Grandia III didn't go easy on me when I was trying to judge. Disc 1 was pure, unadulterated fun, filled with an entertaining story, lovable characters, beautiful graphics and the best battle system in any RPG. And then...then came disc 2, and the story began to deteriorate, until the ending hit me like a sledge-hammer...what a cheap and unworthy way to end a Grandia game. Game Arts really needs to make a 4th part, combining the fascinating world and characters from part 1, the witty humor of part 2 and the battle system of part 3. Let's just hope it's going to happen...especially if Noriyuki Iwadare was on board for a sequel as well, delivering another killer-soundtrack. ^^

I'd love a new Battletoads game, although I'm not sure it would translate well into current gen gaming.

Other than that, a Bioware-helmed Baldur's Gate 3, Mass Effect 2, Jade Empire 2 or KOTOR 3 (not this MMO nonsense), another Grandia or another Golden Sun would be my choices.  Or System Shock 3, but only if they made it as good as the first two installments.

A lot of my favourite game series have been resurrected lately: Fallout, Bionic Commando, Wolfenstein, Diablo, Beyond Good & Evil, even rumblings of another Deus Ex... it's looking quite good at the moment.

Agree 100%.

Since they're doing DR1 for the Wii, I'm encouraged that eventually we'll get a sequel. After all, it's a Capcom game!

I'm sure one of the new Kingdom Hearts titles for DS or PSP will have another end trailer reference to it. But I'm totally with you on that.

I want another Bushido Blade. Not Kengo: Master of The Bushido, Bushido Blade, the genius title with one hit kills.

Rogue Trooper from the XBox. At last a decent 2000AD inspired game. I've been waiting my whole life for that, and they got the characters and backgrounds just right, and what a wealth of material to pick from. More please!

Wouldn't a game based on Nemesis, Sam Slade, or the ABC Warriors kick ass? I can dream can't I?  Tongue

Mass Effect was already planned as a trilogy before the first one even came out, the second and third ones are already underway. Same with Jade Empire 2 which they confirmed earlier this year. Smiley

Imagine a Nemesis game where you could play as Torquemada. That would be so evilly cool, and the Sam Slade universe full of robots just waiting to be destroyed. The potential there is huge!

I'd love a sequel to the Dragon Force games. With this gen the size of the battles would be amazing and online play would only make it better.

Wasn't Bioshock the spiritual sequel of System Shock 2?
