Holy CRAP!!!

I was out surfing garage sales today and didn't score much of ANYTHING... until I got to the last sale I went to!!

There, sitting on the drive, was a TurboGrafx-16 with 9 games!  And next to it-- a TurboExpress!

I'd never seen either of these in real life, so I was utterly shocked and knew I had to have them.  I asked the guy the price:

"You can have everything for $10."

I had that money out in a flash.  And now it's mine.

He said he had more games but couldn't find them... but for what I got, this is still probably one of the best TG-based deals EVER... especially with the TurboExpress thrown in!
Everything's very, very dirty, though, so I've gotta clean it up before I do anything.  Anyone have some tips on that?
Also, I need an AC adapter for the TurboExpress due to its battery drain, but Radio Shack should be able to help me.

Here's a pic:

Turbo stuff:

TG-16
TurboBooster
3 controllers
TurboTap
TurboExpress
TurboVision TV tuner (too bad this won't work in a few months Tongue)
2 AC adapters (I thought one was for the Express but neither fit it, so I guess they're both for the TG16)
Composite video cable
Games: (all without cases :/)
China Warrior
Final Lap Twin
Galaga '90
King of Casino
Legendary Axe 2
Splatterhouse
TV Sports Hockey
Victory Run
World Court Tennis

Also, other stuff I got:
SimCity 2000 CD Collection (PC)
Namco Museum Vol. 3 (PS1)
and a PC ProPad gameport controller for my old 486.

I am a very happy guy today.  What was almost a horrible day of sales turned out to be probably the best find ever.

Damn! What is with these awesome finds lately?!  Grin

I can't find a damn thing... EVER! Oh well...

FYI, working turboexpresses can go for up to $225-$275. You are really, REALLY lucky on that one.

Very nice. You didn't even try haggling on the price though? You should have offered $5 laugh
You did much better at garage sales than me this weekend for sure.

Heheh, I knew... that's why I knew I had to have it.
And it turns out it WORKS.  Cheesy  Although the sound is extremely soft, but I don't think it's that common capacitor failure I've heard about but instead just nearly dead batteries (I pulled them out of my Game Gear)  The TV tuner works too (for now) although the picture is uber-fuzzy.

And I cleaned up the TG16 and it's working, although the composite cables the guy gave me actually don't fit in the TurboBooster's ports (the point at the end is too short to lock in to the ports, and in fact that point is shorter than on other cables I have so I either have to hold the cables in or I need to go find another set of cables which I'm sure I have somewhere)

I'd love to come across TG-16 goodies.  One of my favorite systems and is always hooked up.
