I'm from the UK but I got into watching the NFL in 1988. Some friends from school went up the park and a friend rested the playing guide on the centre's back so he could read it easily LOL. He would shout at the wide receivers... "you run 10 yards then turn around" then at the cornerback "you follow him" LOL so funny to look back on. But hey, as Brits we made an effort to learn in our own time! And it was a rewarding experience. We got a junior team together, an amateur American coach and played a lot, lots of different positions (I loved playing running back the most). I rented tons and tons of those NFL archive films from my library to catch up on the history.
I was hooked for quite a few years then lost track of who's who in the league. So with the exception of a few players, I don't know many in the league or draft. BUT I have the luck of the (Fighting) Irish so expect some upsets before I sink to last place!!
Must keep check on when the draft is. This will be fun!
