Yes, a happy birthday indeed. 18, now you can FINALLY do all the stuff adults love to do Wink

(oh, and from now on we'll put all congratulatory subjects in the pointless long topic at the top of the pub. Wishing someone a happy birthday is funky, but this is the third time in a very short period)

Half den's age, huh? I happen to be half my mum's age too (she feels really old today XD)

And I get to do most fun things adults can do. I still can't go out and get trashed, which is too bad, because I feel that no celebratory anything should be without some strawberry vodka. Unless it is a funeral.

You can't even get trashed on beer? I thought 18 was the beer age in the USA.

Nope, its 21, at 18 and you can smoke, get married, go to war and die, but you can't have a beer.

Happy fucking birthday Phia.

It damn well should be.

There is no difference between beer and liquer here, it is 21 for both.  It used to be that when you turned 18 you could drink 3-2 beer.  I tihnk they did away with that sometime in the 70s, maybe the 80s.

Hell, it used to be that no one gave a damn about the drinking age.  As long as you looked like you could be 18, you could buy beer.  It may have taken you three tries, but it wasn't hard.  Nowadays, its almost impossible.  The government started a program where vendors are supposed to ID anyone 30 and under.

Oh, and happy birthday :-).

Well, pay a visit to Europe with the money you'll get for your birthday. Here you can drink beer at 16.

Isn't it even less in some countries?
I thought in like Italy and France the kids could have a glass of wine with dinner?
