Hello all.

As a follow up to Tan's thread, I have volunteered to spearhead the first RFG Community Database Project - the Microsoft Xbox.  This console was chosen due to the fact that we have around 50% already completed and most of us have games for this system.

The goal of this project is to complete the Microsoft Xbox library of existing game entries to ensure that they are complete and have all the information that we love to have as video game enthusiasts.  Much of this information can be easily found on the internet (or in your own game collection) and we have a wealth of links to assist in the ferreting out this information.

RFG Team Xbox will be comprised of around 7 or 8 community members along with myself and Toondog (RFG staff features writer).  Once established, we will set up a quick meeting (via chat) to develop our plan of attack.  Xbox lovers (like myself) - this is right in your wheel house!!  I do need some Xbox experts on this, but all are welcomed - you just have to love video games and want to be recognized permanently as an inaugural member of the RFG Community Database Project

As a way to say thanks for your participation, we are working on a community-wide recognition system.  No - this is not just in a thread or in the entry you complete, but in a medal icon next to your name for the project that you have worked on.  For example, this team will have a specialized Xbox logo to denote their participation in the RFG Team Xbox project.

I would like to have the RFG Team Xbox established by March 15.

I am greatly looking forward to working with you on this.  I know that I am not a huge contributor to the various forums and that my work here at RFG is mostly behind the scenes.  I welcome this opportunity to get to know you more by collaborating on this project and in turn making our RFG community site even better in the process.  I will be very accessible to all during this (vie either PM or email).  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions at all regarding this project (or anything in general is fine too Smiley ).

When chatting with Tan (RFG Admin) about the RFG Community Database Project, I bragged that our community is strong and that we could knock a project like this if the right team was assembled.  So let's have some fun, make new friends and knock out that Xbox section.  Let's make this first RFG Team Xbox something that can be modeled after!!

Thanks!

Terry

I just want everyone to know that marriott_guy has the full support and blessing of RFGen's administration for this project. That means among other things, that he'll have our support for things like deleting duplicates, moving images, changing regions and anything else only admin level staff can perform to further his efforts to complete this project.

I'll also mention that Tynstar and s1lence have been working tirelessly to add missing games to current and last generation North American game systems. The North American Xbox section should pretty much be complete which will help this project immensely.

The guidelines are there for everyone to use, and the staff will be standing by to approve each submission as they come in. I encourage all of you to help out however you can. Smiley

I should have the final scans to all my X-Box games uploaded sometime in the next week.  I'll try and go thru them all to add what ever info is missing from each.
