They should have done the news as an animated GIF.

finally decided to change my avatar on here to one i use on a lot of other places. the N64 logo i had originally gone with was never meant to be permanent, it was just a quick idea i had and never got around to changing it.

the new one is of Feanor, a main character from J.R.R.'s The Silmarillion. i also finally changed my signature to a Wheel of Time quote, so i have something from my 2 favourite fantasy authors.

Apparently 10pm on a Thursday night is a good time to move into a new house and leave a removals truck idling noisily outside my bedroom window with lots of smelly exhaust on a muggy night when I could do with leaving the window open.

at least it's not as bad as my neighbours that feel the need to randomly turn on their old loud truck at 1am during the week.

I got you both beat. One of my neighbors has some kind of siren, I think its one used for mining before they blast. And every couple days he likes to let it rip at either 5 AM, midnight or just as I'm about to fall asleep.
And there's still the 50 some chickens and ducks inhabiting a small pen 30 feet from the house. The roosters are actually quiet compared to the ducks.

Good lord. I was always wistful of the day I'd move away from college partying numbskulls and have some peace and quiet. I guess they're everywhere...

I get the lovely sound of a big city interstate all the time with the assholes that inhabit it.

^ Perfect time to fly a kite. Even better if its a thunderstorm. I hear flying a kite with a key attached  to the sting can result in some very shocking results.
