Went right from work up to my dad's main squeeze's place for Thanksgiving, and watched a marathon of COPS and 48 Hours: Hard Evidence reruns while waiting for the turkey to finish cooking.

At one point pops hands me a photo of my half-sister...

...with her teenage daughter.

So now I'm an uncle, too.

Pretty mind-blowing for someone who, until yesterday, was an only child.

But enough about my boring, uneventful day. How are you all doin'?

I found out on Thanksgiving that all three of my cousin's kids are pregnant, or in the case of her son, the girl he slept with (but not his girlfriend of the last few months) is pregnant.

So apparently there was just a gigantic explosion downtown due to a gas leak.
The news article i read about it was cut mid sentence and ended with "this is a developing story" blah blah blah. I can't help but think that was a news version of "FIRST!"

I swear I'm not making this up:

Today at the sweat factory, one of my coworkers revealed his plan to sell donuts out of the trunk of his car.

He's gonna call his little venture "Trunkin' Donuts."

Even I couldn't come up with something that corny in a million years.

Oh, that reminds me: I'd better get that Nerf bazooka ready for that other coworker.

^ Just what the average Joe wants to do, buy donuts out of the trunk of someones car. Gee that will work out well.

Hey coolant tastes pretty damn good, it's like sugar-water. Great way to get rid of unwanted animals, they just can't stop slurping it down.

Hey if you accidentally ingest coolant/antifreeze it is suggested you drink hard liquor to un-poisen yourself . And I'm not joking. My company handbook actually stated that, yet it's not in our first aid kit...

My grandfather owned a bakery many years ago and he did something very similar to this. He would drive around town on Sunday mornings and people would come running out of their homes to catch him before he passed. The idea really isn't that crazy.

^ I think the difference is whether the donuts are homemade or are store bought, that makes a BIG difference.

So I've been working for this company for almost 4 months now, and today I get a packet in the mail with all their safety program information. Apparently, I was supposed to have 24 hours of training or something...
There's a good 50 pages here, I really don't want to read it.

Maybe get store bought donuts, drizzle them with honey or something, place a piece of crispy bacon on top (taken from a pack of microwave bacon) and sell that.  Now the gimmick is that we have a boombox next to the donuts playing Parliment.  Ready for it?  Funk 'N Donuts.  Get it?
