Thanks for the link.
This totally could have been the names of locations in an 8bit game

Thief River Falls? Devils Lake?

Haha, wow, is that even real? Those names sound exactly like what you'd find in a typical medieval RPG. Great find.

I zoomed out to world view and zoomed in. It is North Dakota and Wisconson.

If you zoom in on Wyoming. in the Rockies there is a place called Thermopolis. Zoom in further and you can see Hot Springs Park, Swinging Bridge, Rainbow Terraces, and Star Plunge.

You just can't make this kinda shit up!

I hope google keeps 8bit option forever. I would totally scope out more of the planet.

Whoa!!!

I didn't realize until just now that even the Streetview is in 8-bit! (I thought only the maps were)

Haha, this is too cool. Grin

Even though the 8-bit version of my house looks like a blob, this is really awesome.  Are they actually going to produce a cartridge for this?

Met one of my best friend's cousins today.

He's legally blind, and owns a three-legged guide dog.

Maybe I'm just an insensitive @$$hole, but I found that kinda funny.

My PS3 broke today.

Sigh.

Anyone had any experience getting the YLOD fixed? Is it worth sifting through all of the "repairmen" on Craigslist to find someone trustworthy, or should I just bite the bullet and buy a new/used one?

Picked up a PAL and NTSC/J Xbox 360.

...I hate you guys - you better send me something I can stack to make my wallet feel better. At least stop teasing me with Japanese, Korean and Chinese games I'd love to play.

Yeah, my friend used to live near Thief River, MN.  It's really in the boonies.

I've been setting rat traps under the veranda but when I keep checking them they've been sprung and the peanut butter has gone. I've just checked them and now the whole damn trap has gone! It was tucked away so I don't think the neighbours cats would have got it. I can't see it anywhere.

The same thing happened in TX. Except there it was seagulls that set off/lost legs too/ flew off with the traps.
The other difference was it was by dumpsters and not under a veranda...

If it's out of warranty, then you have nothing to loose by trying to fix it yourself. It could make for an exciting project!

This seems to be a detailed guide and quite fun, too! http://playstationlifesty...ead.php?t=2376&page=1

My browser detected malware on that site, not sure if its true or not but I'm going to go ahead and post another good link anyway.
