Of course not. Thanksgiving is a very localized holiday. Other cultures have days of thanks, but none on the scale of us Americans. Thus, Sirgin, being Belgiener, has school! Tongue

EDIT: After I posted this, I noticed I wrote Belgian (a person from Belgium) as Belgiener. That's the German way of saying it. I guess I was on autopilot...  laugh

logical is right, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving.

Without shows like Friends (and movies) depicting it, I probably would've never heard from it. Wink

Thanksgiving is more or less american only and before it went nation wide it was pretty much strictly a new england thing. (saw a show on History about it)

Peop0le from New York didn't know what Thanksgiving was way back when.

Yeah 2nd Monday of October. It's good to break the holidays up so there's a nice long weekend nearly every month and we don't get sick of too much turkey. Smiley We used to celebrate it in November as well but they separated it after WWI so Remembrance Day (Armistice Day) and Thanksgiving had their own date each year.

Hooray Instead of being nearly 90 days late on my car payment i am now only nearly 60!
Thank god i got a part time job so i can start barely making my payments again.

Maybe i can even get some insurance now!
(Any information i post on this website is personal as i consider it to be my therapist and thus cannot be used against me in a court of law or in any other form of legal recourse due to the doctor patient confidentiality laws. [It is illegal to live in the state of MA and not have health insuance and it is illegal to live in the state of anywhere and not have car insurance{or so i have been told}])

My sister and her friend just got home from seing Twilight... And they won't shut up about it. If I have to hear anything about vampires today that doesn't involve them being killed I think my head will explode.

On a side note, I just cut my finger and it is rather deep.

If you don't want to risk getting in trouble, why say anything about it at all? Tongue
BUT... Hope everything gets worked out in all. In Illinois, you don't have to have Health Insurance. How odd...
