It's Remembrance Sunday today. 90 years since the end of the First World War! I know the equivalent day in America is on another day, but here we have a silence on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month (Or whichever sunday is closest). So there was a silence at 11am this morning, and there will probably be another one on Tuesday. Remembrance Day here is Nov. 11th. Our ceremonies are identical to those in the UK and it encompasses honouring veterans from all conflicts and wars. I can't imagine anyone not knowing about it, up here it's probably the one holiday every year that has national participation and is recognized by every culture, ethnic group and religion.
