I just spent $100 on new plugs for my ears. I wanted to go bigger (i'm currently at 5/8") but he recommended just staying at the size I was at.
At any rate, I got one pair of polished sea coral plugs, and 2 pairs of stone tunnels (hollow in the middle). One of the stone pairs is green, and the other is tiger eye (brown and black, essentially).
I'm happy

My school has like 2200 kids, and maybe 35-40 kids are in band.

When I first started reading that, I thought you talking about hearing protection type plugs

I think James wants a nice frame. 150 pounds doesn't sound too bad. We had a smallish painting of my dad's framed (an artist... Go figure) and it cost us over $100, and it isn't nearly as big as that panorama.

Last I heard, Hanna is struggling to stay a hurricane. But Ike behind her, was a category 4 while in the middle of the Atlantic.
Gustav was predicted to be a much worse hurricane than it turned out to be.

I've just been to a local framers which I always thought was just an art shop. It's just up the road from me.
For a 1.5m x 28cm frame with no card surround, an aluminium frame and glass it would cost £90. The same thing with a cardboard surround of about 2 to 3 inches around the photo with the frame around that and some glass would cost £130.
That price is
much
better than the other place.

Indeed, I'd go for the aluminium if it looks good

They had a range of different finishes with the aluminium frame. Like polished (almost chrome), brushed aluminium, different colours, glossy black. She didn't quote wooden frames but I quite liked the look of a dark blue aluminium frame to contrast the sky blue of the photo, and a white card border would set it off nicely.
I'm spending my money on other things but my birthday is coming up soon so I might be able to get it then.

Sounds great
A 1,5m long frame must look really cool, now that I think if it.
