heheheehehehehheheheh. All I know is that in most middle and high school bands that are overpowered by trumpets, the trumpets run the band. And I am a trumpet. Oh... I forgot to say that trumpets kick ass.

Has like everybody here played in their schoolband at one point? I didn't know it was that popular in the US.

You do realize that we are/were in the top 25-45% of our school nerds, so of course the fequency of band playing members is going to be high. Wink

Out of 1300 kids, there are like 85 kids in my band. There are like 16 trumpets alone.

Well, good thing people like the sax here... I play alto.  Cheesy

logical: 16 trumpets!? zomg.  Our band is tiny here.  Marching band only has like 30 winds.  Lame.

Oh right, I forgot we're nerds.

But I just thought it was striking there's so many band members here because the whole band-thing isn't present here in Belgium Smiley

Well, the football fans need something to pretend to be excited about during halftime.

It's really odd. A little less than a quarter of the whole band is football players.  Shocked

I went to a frame makers today to see how much it would cost to get one for the Wellington panorama. A basic frame is going to cost £144. I was expecting up to £150 but I was hoping for a better frame than that would buy. That doesn't include glass or a card border - a border would make the frame bigger and add more cost.

I was only really seeing what kind of price it would be because my money is going to the Mini.

Where I went to school, we started band in the 5th grade and all but maybe a dozen kids (out of a class of 200) were in the band. I played the trumpet for one year and that was enough for me.
Like Logical said, trumpets are always the most popular, we probably had close to 40.

I guess that explains why nearly every American movie with a school in it seems to have a band of some kind. Tongue

Yeah! And all American schools have their own football/basketball teams looking all professional and stuff. And the whole cheerleading team.
Those American schools always look exciting in the movies, we don't have any of those things here Sad
