Damnit. My iPod is giving me the "sad iPod" face and it looks like I have to send it back to apple to have it replaced, which isn't really that bad, but they charge $30 for shipping. There is no fucking way it costs that much to ship it.

$30?! Damn. You'd think they were running their own eBay store or something.

Isn't there a button combination you can hold down to get the iPod to reset?  My sister's has frozen up before and all it required was holding down a button combination for a few seconds so that it would reset itself.  Or is this beyond the simple reset?

It's more than that. I've had to do that a couple times before. I guess getting the "sad iPod face" is like getting the Red Ring on a 360.

I got a free iPod in the summer. My sister's iPod broke quite a while ago so she bought a new one. I found her old one and she said I could have it. A little fiddle got it working just fine.

Seems fine, I've been using it off and on for the last 20 minutes or so.

The community centre was selling its old computers this week so I thought I would get an XP one. It can't be too bad if it can run XP, right? Roll Eyes

Well, it has a 500MHz Pentium III, 256MB ram, 8GB hard drive and a 15" CRT monitor. Dad's remaining optimistic about it, saying it must be better than his crappy old laptop which is 2.66GHz, 512MB, 30GB.

Well I'm off to be tortured by my dentist.

Oh how I hate her and her scraping my teeth into oblivion with that tiny ice pick.
