Contest is over.

I went skeet shooting yesterday. And I am temporarely deaf. 75 rounds of shotgun pellets times 7 people equals a lot of loud noise for a newcomer at this sport/hobby. I didn't wear ear protection. It was alot of fun though!

I kind of liked it. Has there been any talk about making it a permanent feature?

Nope. We don't wish to run a popularity contest more than we already do.

What did Ganonbanned win? A wooden spoon?

I was playing with Windows XP last night and did something very silly. Short story - I spent the last 26 hours reinstalling Windows and trying to move my Linux partition. It seems to be all good now except I don't get the dual boot screen on start up. But that's an easy fix for when I can be bothered.

See gannonbanned is proof that karma is nothing more but a popularity contest. He had a karma of -11, if I remember correctly. Sort of ridiculous. I was also really irritated when I saw someone who had written very little posts (and as such I could see every one of his posts) had a low karma.  I can't help but think there were people smiting people because of nationality, previous attitudes towards the person, just because.

Always wear ear protection... seriously. You can buy muffs that let you hear normal speach, but shut off noises above 85 dB. If you're going to continue shooting, just do it. If anyones young gives you crap, say you'll talk to them in 30 years and see how their hearing is.

Being able to hear is better than not hearing at all.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....Professor forgot, have to take it tomorrow. On top of that I almost got killed on the highway.

As I merged right onto an exit ramp one of those giant metal ladders went careening by my car--one of those pickup truck's with the scaffolding was braking hard--and I was off my ramp cursing the fuckers. Checking the news to see how many died behind me :O

Also, I didn't sleep and I have had so much caffeine that the world seems like a strobe light. 8 hour work shift in 3 hours. God damn.
