Guess what happens when you accidentally solder a large capacitor in the wrong way round.

!!!!!!!!BANG!!!!!!!!

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked shocking shocking shocking

It missed my face by a few inches and sprayed my chest with fluff and smoke.

It was a 35V 2200-μF. I must have turned it around after checking the polarity.

I was going to go play with an electrical power hose but mum and dad have gone shopping and I don't really want to mix electricity and water on my own.

I have my first cooking practical this afternoon. I'm fairly nervous. It will be the first time we'll be on any sort of timed schedule.. I just hope that all my food is hot when I serve it Smiley

Sure am. Started about 2 months ago, give or take. I'm loving it so far. I got a 92 on my practical. Would have been higher, but I fucked up my rice. Oh well. An A is an A.

I was going to go to a Mini car show today but no one else wanted to go with me, and a 220 mile round trip is a bit far on my own. So instead, I went to a friend's house to help him buy a network router.  sleeping When I got there I decided the problem with his adsl and phone line were at the ISP's end. No need for a router just yet, then.

So he decided while I was there I may as well fix some other things for him. His printer wasn't picking up the paper to print on. So I cleaned the roller by holding onto a J-cloth and letting the printer suck it in, still holding it.

I fixed a few very small problems with his PC, then we went for lunch. (He paid)

When we got back I was thinking of leaving but then he mentioned his iPod he asked for help with a few months ago. He dug it out from a drawer but couldn't find the USB cable at all. So off we went to get ripped off for a new one. I showed him how to rip CDs and sync his iPod with iTunes then I managed to get going home.

Before I left, he offered me £20 for helping him out, but I really don't like taking money for almost nothing so I declined.

It was good to meet up with him because I've not seen him since before Christmas. But I think I'd rather have been at the Mini show which I hear was a very good one.

What the hell is up with people updating their production forums to a beta version? Is it worth the risk for these people?

Pay heed.

Don't lend games and stuff out to friends (of siblings) that you hardly know.

A few bitches pawned off a few of my games and all of my brother's Xbox games.  The total was less than 100 bucks but now I have to track them down again.  What's worse is that I saw it coming since this girl was only dating my brother for money.

Gas hit $3.99 today in Cincinnati. I miss 2001 when $1.50 was expensive.

I wish wages would adjust for this.
