Yeah, it was Hockey Day today in Minnesota, and on the news I saw some high school teams playing in Baudette (the furthest north you can get in this state) playing on an open air ice rink.   brrrrrr

That would have been awful. Yesterday was a 'stay inside' day.

Who was speaking of hockey???  But now that you bring it up did anyone catch highlights from the Sabres / Panthers game from last night.  One the Panther players (Zednik) caught a skate across the throat.  It happend in the corner and he left a huge blood trail heading to the bench.  After two hours of surgery he is doing ok but it was a scary thing to watch.

"And the Grammy for album of the year goes to Am...HERBIE HANCOCK?!"

I applaud the Grammys for giving jazz that kind of mainstream recognition. Also: Vince Gill was on fire last night.

OatBob was just 2 post behind me Wink

And yes, I did see the Zednik ordeal. I only recall one other time that I have seen that happen. (maybe it's happened more?)

There was a video of this recent game on the web.

The only other time I recall was here in Buffalo too.  Our goaltender Clint Malarchuck had his jugular cut, but that was like 20 years ago.

It doesn't snow very often in Cincinnati; therefore, a small amount of snow tends to shut down the city.
