heyyyyyyy. ehhh.  Haven't seen you around here lately.

Man, I'm depressed.  I don't have enough time for gaming anymore, and its making me depressed.  I used to play video games all day, every day.  When I started high school, I had alot less time for games.  My damn teachers gave me to much homework.  Now, I'm going to be a junior, and I have a job.  My time for gaming has diminished less and less, even though I continue to get more games.  It doesn't help that every time I go to play i'm torn between playing the 360 or the NES Sad

Now you're scaring me.... I'm starting high school too.... Sad

Don't get scared, high school's fun, but my teachers for the past 2 years have just been assho's

I'm going into my second year of high school and I'm really not afraid of losing game time.  Mostly because last year, school had essentially no effect on my free time.  The only thing that did is marching band, which sucks up pretty much all of my time until mid-October each year.  I'm doing it again, so no more free time on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until it's out.  The other days will probably be spent doing homework, sleeping, or catching up on everything I missed online daily Tongue  But I don't really care.  Having a break really made gaming even more enjoyable than usual for a few months afterwards, as I'd been out of the swing of things.

And then during the rest of the year, I rarely had any interference on my time.  Well, that's probably because I had, from an educational standpoint, a very lame year.  Teachers who barely did their job, etc.  I only really got math homework, but I'm decent enough at math to get it done fast.  This year could be different, sure, but I doubt it.

Do you sense yourself, as a student, that your educational system could be better?

Yes, I do. I am going to a private high school, so hopefully it will be better. Smiley

Well, blanket statements are rather dangerous.

Most certainly.  In fact, it got so bad I was literally complaining that we weren't learning anything.

Come on, 9th grade honors English final containing primarily simple identification of nouns and verbs? What a fucking joke!
And in my honors biology classes we mostly did coloring assignments.   I am completely serious.  COLORING ASSIGNMENTS.

Good old American Schooling!

//My high school, as well as St0rmTK421's, Hydrobond's, Nepenthean's, and Maccabeus's high school was actually good at teaching.

At my cousin's house right now. Has a lot of DreamCast and Genesis games. Now I have to wait for him to come home or wait for my other cousin to find her old Atari and NES games.
