I've been playing Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past a lot today.  Recently, I also finally got around to playing a game I somehow missed as a kid: Chrono Trigger.  I haven't beaten Chrono Trigger yet, but it is very good.  So it got me thinking....  what is the best SNES RPG?  There were plenty of good ones back then, and I'm betting there are some that I probably missed out on not because I didn't have the money to buy them (as was the case with Chrono Trigger) but rather because I just didn't know about them for one reason or another.  

So what are your favorite SNES RPG's?  So far, I think I have to go with Link to the Past still, but maybe when I finish Chrono Trigger I'll have a different opinion.

I don't have A favorite but i have 4 that would contend for it.  
Arcana, Chrono Trigger, FF3 and Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals.
The SNES had excellent RPGs if had played more of them i am sure this list would be much longer.

Chrono Trigger is my all time favorite RPG, but Lufia II, Final Fantasy III, Super Mario RPG, and Earthbound will always have a special place in my heart. (what can I say, SNES has a huge library of RPGs and even the less good ones are usually fun)

Has anyone else here played Earthbound? It is a little known game but has a huge cult following.  I am hoping that Nintendo will rerelease it here too and not only in Japan.

I totally forget about Mario RPG until someone reminds me. I loved that game and i have played a little Earth bound on ROMs and at Dans. Pretty damn good game.

Gotta vote for Zelda and Final Fantasy 3.  I haven't played Lufia, nor Chrono Trigger.  Played a bit of Mario RPG, and it was pretty good, but didn't play it enough to rate it.

Chrono Trigger, no competition. FF3 was decent but I got sick of it rather quickly.
