Well everyone else is doing it. From major sites like 1up, IGN and others to other gaming forums similar to our own. So I felt it's time for RF Generation to weigh in on this trend with a few lists of our own. The difference being instead of one combined list, we'd each post our individual favorites. List as many or as few as you wish, and start other threads for other systems if you don't see them. Wink

Not all 3rd party stuff is crap believe it or not. Tongue Here's a few of my favorites:

Wico Command Control (ball top) - 9 pin Atari/Sega/Commodore
Logitech Wireless Precision - PS2/Xbox
Pelican Light Rifle - Xbox
Guncon2 - PS2
SG Guitar - PS2
Beamscope Dual Charger - PS1
Mortal Kombat Fatality Kontroller - PS2
UltraRacer 64 - N64
Xbox Official Street Fighter Anniversary Edition Controller
Zelda Feather Pen Stylus
Performance Sega Genesis controller

Logitech PS2 Cordless Action Controller - Awesome awesome awesome! Except the analogue sticks on mine have gone tits up and don't work properly.

There was that N64 controller that was much more comfortable than the official one. Might have been from MadCatz. Cheap quality, though.

Official Street Fighter Anniversary Edition Controller (Xbox & PS2)
Starfire Light Gun by Interact (Dreamcast)
Dream Blaster Light Gun by Mad Catz (Dreamcast)
Nerf Wireless Controller (PS2)
ASCII Grip One-Handed controller (PS1) -this thing is perfect for RPGs
ASCII Control Pad (Dreamcast) -for all those 2D fighters
GameCom - Halo 2 edition (Xbox and Xbox 360) -doesn't feel cheap like the other headsets

All the 3rd party substitutes for the Wii Zapper are shaping up to be pretty cool.

Nerf Wireless Controller (PS2)

I really like the novelty of those and almost bought one. Then I saw how loose the analog sticks are. Tongue

I have used one of these for years, and it is without question the best third party controller I have ever had. The one small problem that I have had is a sticky L2 button, but a good smack on the side of the controller loosens it up just fine. Terrific product.

Dream Blaster Light Gun by Mad Catz (Dreamcast)
I have had 2 Starfire ones and 1 Mad Catz one die on me within 1-2 years of only very little and careful use...just thought I'd throw that experience out there Wink

As for my favorites:

QuickShot Intruder 2 for NES
QuickShot XXI for NES (great for shooters like Gun*Nac)
Happ Controls Competition Pro (black version) aka Teqniche Power Pad for NES
QJ Top Fighter for SNES

It turns out my Logitech controller just needed recalibrating to get the analogue sticks to work properly. I had plugged it into a PS2-USB converter to use on my PC which seemed to break it. I didn't think to calibrate it until I googled it. (Hold L1 and L2 while reinserting the batteries)

Now it's working fine, it's back to being the best wireless controller evar! The Wavebird wasn't anything special. It didn't even have rumble.

I had a Joytech wireless Xbox controller which smelled nice but kept cutting out. It was fine when it worked... just like lots of things.

PS2 Logitec Action controller is the clear winner.  Best third party accessory I've ever used.  I've logged nearly 300 hours on one and recently picked up another while it was on sale for $25.

I like that Logitech controller more than the official Sony one.

Count me in as another Cordless Action Controller fan. I actually bought one a few days ago based on all the recommendations for it here and I've never looked back.

I should add the Performance Genesis controller as well. i like the size, molded backing for your index fingers, and the extra long cord that it has.

You know, I honestly can't think of a single third party controller that I've ever liked. I haven't really used that many of them though, but I've never perfered a third party controller to the real deal.

I dont know who makes it but my favorite is a Japanese GameCube controller for PSO. Basically cut a GameCube controller in half and add a keyboard in the middle. Awesome awesome controller.
