I never really cared for RPGs. They're usually too long for me.

I play both but I tend to lean toward KOTOR and Elder Scroll style RPG's. I really wish they would make more shining force style RPG's again.

Neither one really interests me, but I do enjoy the occasional RPG like Deus Ex, Shenmue (kinda rpg?), Super Paper Mario (kinda rpg??), and Folklore.

Both for me.
I am more likely to f inish an action RPG though.
I generally don't have the time to finish a longer one.

I've never played and RPG. I'd like to, I just can't force myself to devote the time to one. One day.

I like them both, although in recent years I've had a certain falling out with Japanese RPG's and gravitated more towards western devoloped RPGs.
@Barracuda - Not one, but TWO Big Lebowski avatars? This dude certainly abides. Greatest movie ever.

Those aren't even the two main categories... it should be JRPG and Western RPG since there is such an obvious difference. As for me it is JRPGs.

I'm all over the place with RPGs, only ones I dislike are early first-person, pseudo 3D crawlers with the low frame rates but I'll play them. My favorites are above-down viewed 2D/3D at an angle perspective, rotating axis are a preferred bonus. So obviously my top three are the Diablo, Fall-out and Baldour's Gate series. Many MMORPGs are lacking in my book simply from those recoup times beween attacks. I love it when a game creates realistic physics that move along with your attack motions.

I honestly don't consider either of those as RPGs. Final Fantasy 3, Lunar, Dragon Warrior, etc. Now those are RPGs in my mind.

I like all sorts of RPGs, Strategy, Turn based, Action, dungeon crawlers. But it really depends on the games, because I'm also a huge fighting game fan, but of course some I love, and some I don't.
