I voted for "Complete games" since even though I have loose games, I'm partial to owning the game with the game box and manual. And since "Sealed" games are also "Complete", this covers my method of collecting most accurately.

My reasoning is that if I see a used copy of a game but the price is for the game only, it's almost always being sold for the same price as a complete copy, so why not get the complete copy? Further, the value of a complete game is also higher, imo.

Lastly, if I'm playing a game and need a better understanding of the controls and/or gameplay capabilities it's good to have the manual handy.

I collect everything and it usually pay's off.  Sometime's I find loose games in one place and another place is giving me the box.  Plus I'm a sucker for Mario and Sonic toys.

well seeing as almost all games are sold here at least in a box i should have clicked that i oly collect complete but with some games and systems (Atari) its cheaper and eaiser to get something loose and maybe one day replace it with a boxed version than not have it at all.

cart stuff, what ever i can find unless it's import.  if it's import, complete.  cd based must be complete unless it's missing something of no real importance like a spine card, registration card, or mag subscription offer.

I buy whatever I can find as long as it is cheap.  I prefer to find stuff that is boxed, but I certainly will not turn down a loose game.  I don't really care too much about manuals, they're hard to find and harder to keep in good condition.  I love finding the older Nintendo and Sega toys, but I mostly focus on Mario stuff.

Everything and anything.

All kinds of store displays, a bunch of letters from various gaming companies, shipping boxes that games/systems came in(i think i only have Gameboy Color and a SteelBattalion one), if it is remotely videogame related i won't hesitate to take it.

For CD/DVD based games they have to be complete.
For carts, I just get what I can.

Cool so i'm not the only one Smiley

Yea i picked them up when i use to raid Video Game Castle.
It gave me something to carry out all my CIB NES games and accessories in.

I completely filled the Steelbattalion box Smiley(it has the name number and address of the wholesaler which i have been tempted to try and get in touch with...)

A board filled with colectors who want to believe they are players in spite of how much games they have?  Most of us are hard pressed to admit we know anyone close that have as much let alone more games then we do.  I'm still more interested in what exactly drives the mentality of the colector and at what point did we cease being just players and decide to dedicate so much money and space to what could arguably be considered a disposable form of entertainment.  Your vice, it doesnt even cross my mind.  Now, those people with the home made princess peach full length pillows and the ones with DoA:XBV beach towls, those bother me some.  Actualy, I wouldnt mind a Hitomi beach towl or a Kasumi one either.
