I thought this was a neat idea, that may even encourage people to submit more to the site. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard for the amazing programmers we have, to make either. 

Anyway, maybe submission statistics could be displayed in our profiles for everyone to see.  It'd go right along with the existing fields for posts, position, etc.  Maybe even the different types of submissions could have a different count (one for image submissions, one for title additions, etc).

The idea has come up before but Dave said something like people would get vicious when they try to encourage others for not pulling their weight.

Yes, what James said. The disparity between the top submitters and the rest of the members is rather large. For now, we'll stick to those monthly Thanks for the Submissions posts that appear on the site blog.
