Any recommendations?

I typically enjoy underrated games. I enjoy rpg's but they must be turn based.

I pickied it up discounted at GCrazy for 17$s and got another game free and some other discount.

It was one of the days i completely screwed the system and kept trading in and buying back the same games cheaper.

If you can find it in a store it should run you no more than 10-15$s.

EDIT
Hell i just checked out eBay and there are a couple copies up for 5-10$s after shipping.

I don't know why but I've been finding alot of deals on PS2 games on ebay as of late.

I literally just picked this up today at the pawn shop.

If you don't mind spending a little more on a game, Nocturne is fantastic. Really different and dark RPG definitely aimed at a more mature audience.

This one will have to wait. The prices on ebay are outrageous!

Yeah, they really are. I got mine probably a year and a half ago, sealed and with the guide for something like $75.

If you ever get the money, it really is a great game though. And by the looks of it, it will probably be one of those games that always retains it's value.

No but i rember when i was at Game Crazy we had 2-3 copies used for about 15$s a piece also.

As far as i can remember though we didn't carry it new.

EDIT:
Also the Shadow Heart(s) and Dark Cloud(not turn based) games were good.
They are more well known though...

Barracuda, do the recommendations have to be strictly RPGs or are you open to anything?

^ I'm open to anything. I just got a PS2 and I've been trying out the games that I missed out on by only owning an Xbox.

* Also after all of the years the PS and PS2 have been out I'm finally getting used to the controller.  Smiley

If you can find a copy for a decent price, you should try Disgaea:  Hour of Darkness.  It's a strategy RPG (like Final Fantasy Tactics) so it might not be quite what your looking for.

The main draw of the game is that if you were so inclined, you would never have to stop improving your characters.  you can level up to something insane, like level 10,000, and then restart your character at level 1 again, but with the stats of a level 10,000 character and level again, eventually maxing out ever stat you can have.  Not only that, but you can travel into every item in the game which has it's own 255 level dungeon where the monsters get increasingly stronger.  If you clear all levels in an item, it gets ridiculously strong.

I put over 300 hours into that game and I am nowhere near finished with it.  I haven't played it in almost a year, but that's because I wanted to play other games before the Earth exploded.
