Its not really a matter of Should I get it, but how much should I pay for one?

I may get one with a game or two for 25 bucks from a kid at school. Lets hope he pulls through and brings it tomorrow. nod

$25 is a bit more than I would pay for one. Try ebay they sell really cheap.

I see them at pawn shops for 15.00 and most sell the games for 5.00.  It it's in minty condition with a couple good games I'd get it.

I used to have one and was not impressed with it. The game selection was rather poor and most played rather clunky. I liked having the TV antenna attachment, though. But these days I'd have a hard time believing that you could get a signal.

Frankly, I'd save the $ for something else.

Agreed, plus the battery lasts about six seconds.

N-gage!

I'll be hunting one of those down someday, believe it or not there's some really good games out there for it that the GBA couldn't touch. Colin McRae 2005, Chaos Theory, Red Faction, Rayman 3 etc.

As far as the Game Gear, there's a few gems in that pile of turds like Defenders of Oasis, Mega Man Shining Force or Ninja Gaiden. An added bonus of having the Sega Master System library of carts available if you use a Master Gear.

Would he get a bigger selection of games if he got the European Gamegear.  Such has Mortal Combat 1 and 2, Streets of Rage 1 and 2.

A Nomad is gonna cost you over $100. I've seen people trying to sell them for about $600 in the Uk

The Game Gear is region free. Nomads sell on ebay.com for about £2. Tongue
