Ok.  Who has never played this game?  If you said "I've never played it!", go to a pawn shop, Ebay, or something and get it now.  It's a must play for everyone.  This is one of the staple games that should be in everyone's collection.  What did you enjoy about it?  What frustrated you?  Also, got any tips or tricks (whistle locations, secret power-ups, etc) that you know about?  Add them in the game page!  Discuss!

Never played it. However, I just bought a collection from a friend from work (including this game and a NES). I'm having trouble getting it to work on my TV though. Tongue

Are you using the A/V cords, or the RF adapter?

Is the NES blinking?

If you own a NES this is a MUST. There are several games that you must own/play:
SMB 3
Contra
Zelda

There are several others, But these are the top three in my opinion.

RF.

Yes, it's blinking. When I unplugged it and tried turning it on again I got nuthin'! den advised it may just need cleaning or I've got a bad A/C adapter. He also suggested using A/V cables.

Advice?

Blow in the cartridge. Make it a juicy one too. Wink

There's also a series of taps that seem to work on occasion.

This game is awesome.

Phoenix we must revoke your gamer card until you have played SMB 3 and some other NES games. Please post a list of the NES games you have played so we can make sure you have played the correct games to get your gamer card back.

I always use the A/V connectors. Try an new AC adapter, but it sounds like you may have a bad 72 PIN connector on your hands. (fairly easy to replace and get)

New connector on EBAY

(that's just one auction, there are many on ebay)

This was the first game I bought for the NES. I bought it about six months before I got the console. It was also the American version which I didn't realise, so the game would get to the menu screen then reset. A quick snip of the lockout chip sorted that.

Good game. I rate this game Thumbs Up on the scale of of Thumbs.
