As most of you know, there is a rather large Ohio / Cincinnati contingent that frequents this site. Of our Cincinnati contingent, many of us went to Saint Xavier High School, a Jesuit Preparatory High School located in the 'Nati. Our alma mater is known for many things including academics, swimming, and in recent times, football. Well, this year our alma mater's football team, depending on which poll you look at, is ranking between 1st and 4th on the national level. Well, today they played a national Powerhouse, DeMatha, in front of a national stage on ESPN, and they pummeled them into the ground. So, for all of the St. X fans on this forum, this thread if for you.

Our famed alma mater graces, every shine within our hearts,
With her unforgotten faces, and the faith that she imparts.
Years of passing can not sever, ties of old days from the new.
We are Xavier men forever, as we hail the white and blue.

PS: In Cincinnati, High School has a special place in the culture. When people ask where you went to school, they mean what High School.

another Big Ten tradition...

Oh....
We don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan,
the whole state of Michigan, the whole state of Michigan.
We don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan.
We're from Ohio.

We're from Ohio (O-H)
We're from Ohio (I-O)

We don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan,
the whole state of Michigan, the whole state of Michigan.
We don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan.
We're from Ohio.

THE Ohio State University has always had a longstanding rivalry with University of Michigan, and THE OSU marching band sings this as they enter the stadium before every football game.
