Dan asked me earlier today if we had GH titles in our database. I told him we dont. I was wondering if they could be added. I recently found out that Castlevania SOTN sold on ebay for 350+ dollars. While the GH version sells for much less. I think that is a drastic enough difference to allow for Greatest Hits games to have a normal and a greatest hits entry.
Just my opinion. If it is a useable idea cool.
If it can't be done right now oh well.

The database is set up to do this.  Part of each game's ID# designates the version of the game.  So, SOTN's ID# is: U-061-S-02070-A.  That's for the regular release.  Another alternate version (packaging, label, etc.) could get an ID# like this: U-061-S-02070-B.  So, the letter at the end designates version, which of course in alternate versions, will be described in more detail on that page.  These just haven't been entered as we don't have the manpower necessary yet.  We've planned for all of this - it's just a matter of time and effort.

I agree on this I see rereleases as diffrent games. If you need more manpower I am willing to help (if it's not that difficult). I know a lot about games.

If you get the script set up for entering games I can be the official person to enter games. If you want me to that is. |D

Eddie said he is going to try to work on this over the long weekend, but that's not a promise.  If not this weekend, he hopes to do it in December since he'll have a long break from school.

I started on it last weekend, but it still has quite a bit of work to be done.  As soon as my exams are over (which will be next Wednesday) I should have plenty of time to finish it up.  First will come the staff-only version, then I'll work on a public submission version, much like the "submit game info" script.
