I'll be in New York City for a few days this October and was wondering if anybody knew of any good retro game stores in the city?

Not any that I'm aware of, sorry. While your in the city, make sure you stop by the Nintendo World Store next to the Rockefeller Center. Here is a link to some sweet pictures.

There's the Chinatown Fair arcade in Chinatown.
Go there if you're into fighters.
Not too far away there's a import shop but the prices are terrible.
