Over the weekend, I decided that I wanted to pick up Gears of War on the 360. I went over to CompUsa, despite the fact that I despise that sore, because they had it $10 cheaper ($50) than anyone in town.

Anyway, once I got there, Gears was in this rack labeled buy two or more games on this rack and get 25% off. This was a pretty good deal, so I also picked up Perfect Dark Zero and GRAW. On the way home, I had my wife open Gears of War and Perfect Dark, but she got tired of it so I just would open GRAW up when I got home.

Well, a couple of hours pass and we had some friends come out. One of my friends remarked that I had better open up GRAW soon, as he purchased a copy of it new and then there was no disc in the case. I thought that there was no way that was happening again, but I opened it anyway. Imagine my surprise when I find this...

My copy didn't include the game, but instead had a 'bonus' copy of Starsky and Hutch. WTF? The game didn't appear to be a reseal, and the certificate of authenticity sticker was still on it. I'm guessing some douchebag at the store had some fun here.

Regardless, I think that I got a pretty good deal - the three games for about $80. The store took it back with no problem and we had a good laugh about it.

That might have been a more entertaining movie than the turdfest he got instead.

That would of pissed me off since I would of had to drive back to the store. The "certificate of authenticity sticker" can be removed in one piece easily. Good that you got a story out of it.

Yeah... I'm in South Beloit, IL and the CompUSA is in Rockford, IL... about 30 - 45 minutes away.

Damn, that's a pretty funny!

When I saw this thread I was expecting to see some unique item find that you'd never expect to come across, but this is definitely a serious WTF find Wink

I found a spider's nest in my 5200 when I bought it. It's a long story.
