It started and ended in Japan this year.  Involves robots and is comedic in nature. It's coming out in the US on DVD rather soon (February it looks like). One of the most well known parts of the series is a song who's title contains the title of one of Public Enemy's most well-known songs.

I heard about that. Isn't it kinda like Death Note or something, except with robots? (Obviously I know nothing about it other than what I hear here and there).
