For those of you that enjoy reading books about video games, or the video game industry, check out http://storybundle.com/ within the next few days. Some good ebooks in there, and it's a pay what you want setup, so you can go as little as $3 if you just want to check it out.

Nobody's mentioned the GOG sale yet. Its a Battle of the Games. Vote for the game you want the most!

Winner goes 75% off, loser goes 60% off. Everybody wins! Well, the voting's done now.

GoG is having another Insomnia Sale, where a select game is put on sale for a often very limited run (some for only 25 copies).  What really makes it fun (and stressful) is how they mix in free stuff with the sales, but also how you never know when the game you want will be on sale.  Good luck everyone!

They specialize in creating versions of older games that are supported on new hardware, including customizing/hacking installers and drivers. I remember hearing that it took them 18 months to get Baldur's Gate up and running.

As if the GoG Insomnia Sale wasn't enough, the Humble Bundle people have decided to start a Humble Daily Bundle for the next two weeks.  Today's bundle is:

X3: Terran Conflict (Pay what you want)
Universe Sandbox (Pay more than the average, currently $4.02)
Kinetic Void (Pay more than $10)

Origin is offering Battlefield 3 and Plants vs Zombies Game of the Year Edition free on PC only for a limited time. limited time meaning limited time to get them free, but once you get them you have them permanently just as if you bought them.

GoG is having their Summer Sale.  Pretty much everything is at least 50% off, with daily bundle deals as well as "Flash" sales that tend to run only a few hours.  Seems like a great way to pick up some Indie as well as some great classic PC games.  The current bundles are RollerCoaster Tycoon 1-3 for $8.97 USD and the D&D Masterset (all D&D games on GoG) for $21.10.  Personally, I've got my eyes on every Ultima game (including the Underworld games), the Starflight games, and Might and Magic 1-6, all currently 50% off.
