Figured we might as well start a thread on this game too.  Wink

http://kotaku.com/gaming/...s-fender-strat-270130.php

^^ Has a couple of pics of the new Fender Strat, very nice.

Also here's a few details from another post on Kotaku which came from the latest Game Informer mag.:

  • The game will ship on one disc, which will contain four campaigns, one for each instrument. In addition, there's also a big band option for four-player co-op madness.
  • You can use any combination of online/offline play. Two online two off, one online three off, doesn't matter.
  • The vocals have been expanded from what we've seen in games like SingStar. The game's got a phoneme detector, so individual vowels and consonants are picked up.
  • It's an EA game. So players create their own avatars, and can create different ones for each instrument the game offers.
  • Each instrument character model has had different styles of animation mo-capped, so that you can decide what kind of hip-waggling and stage-strutting they'll be performing.
  • You'll be able to design your own band logo for use online.

That is sweet looking but I want to see the "drums". I like the two sets of fret buttons!

I'm not sure if that mag had it but there is a pic of the drumset somewhere, it's not finalized yet though. The idea they are shooting for is a 4 piece set similar to   one of those digital drum sets popular in the 80's with real wooden drumsticks that has a stand so it wil sit nicely in front of a couch at playing level.

Here's the drum kit, mic, and guitar from that article:

Doesn't look too bad.

I'm a bit excited for this. I just wish that there would be a Wii version and/or it won't cost a trillion dollars.

The MSRP for Rock Band is going to be $199.99. Shocked

That includes the wireless guitar, drum set and microphone.

The game by itself will cost $59.99.

Wow I was right! I figured it would be 200. Drums are ugly but I guess I can't expect a real kit. LOL

It looks like a game of Amplitude on the bottom and Karaoke Revolution on the top. But eh, what are you gonna do?

Go figure both of those are Harmonix games.
