I read a story about someone going to teach English in Japan and loads of kids stuck their fingers up his bum. Strange. Maybe it was just a fad in this one school that has passed now.

I've got a cousin who has been teaching english in South Korea for 5 years now, she seems to really enjoy it. I honestly don't think she'll come back to North America, avoiding her student loans prob doesn't hurt the motivation to stay either.  Tongue

I don't know if you really should be the one going to teach English to the Japanese.  Your capitalization and grammar aren't exactly stellar....  Smiley

I'm actually right now planning something similar.  I'm a writer and an English major in college, and as soon as I found out that this kind of thing wasn't just a rumor or a tall-tale ("I went and taught English, and d00d it was AWESOME, they gave me all kinds of stuff just 'cuz I'm an AMERICAN!") I started thinking about the best way to go about applying.

Still working on my AA, still in junior college (yeah I know... I cry sometimes to sleep at night XD ), but trying to better myself so I'm prepared.

Always wanted to be a teacher, and this seemed like the best place for me to go.  English, in a country I've always wanted to go to, and with students who might actually be interested in learning... just beautiful.  Beautiful.

I've read that too...  I don't believe it was just at that one school.  There is an arcade game like that as well.
