Hello all.

I have been uploading my systems/games over the past two weeks and finally have some pic to share.  This first post show part of the general collection of my consoles and how it is set up.  Following posts will show the systems in a little bit more detail on the rather obscure systems.

General game shelves, a Big Event arcade machine and my PC with 22" wide LCD monitor with Bose speakers.  On the shelves are the Genesis 3, the INTV (Intellivision III), a PSOne and the rare Sharp Twin Famicom.

Thanks Tynstar.  I have a few more pics to take of some other of the systems but my battery died on my camera. Yes - it is the Criterion edition of Silence of the Lambs on Laser disc.

That has to be one of the most impressive display setups I've ever seen. Hats off to you for pulling it off. I also like the foilage above the shelves, helps break up the sterility they would otherwise have and give it a nice aesthetic professionalism.

Thanks Tan.  It took a while and I have to say that I went to the DigitalPress site and wasn't really impressed at what I saw when it came to displaying a console collection.  I searched a bit and found the base shelving system at, believe it or not, Target.  I quickly filled the first one and went back and got the second.  Each shelving unit originally only had 6 shelves, exclusing the top.  I split each one to give me more space and added matching shelves to enable me to display 72 systems at one time (max - some systems took away from that number due to their height and requiring split shelves like the Vectrex).  

I designed it to accommodate a bigscreen TV in the center of the two 6' x6' shelving units.  I put wiring harnesses on the back of each and power extension cables to each, along with composite, A/V or RCA extensions to every third shelf.  This enables me to play any system by simply selecting the power supply from a multi-switch (I needed 4 20- switchers) and the same for the video (I have 8 of the 10-switch Pelican video source selectors hooked up).  I have all of this hidden behind the foliage and the cables run along the back of the shelving system.  From there (in my current set up and space limitations, I went underneath the carpeting to my big screen TV (1 each of the composite, A/V and RCA cables).  

The greenery was an afterthought, once I saw how this project was progressing and the cold affect it had on the general atmosphere of the room.  Plus, it did hide a great many items as described previously.  I still have to add a bit more of the it along the other areas to tie it all in.
