I consider myself a pretty big music buff so I'm curious. For me my favorite band is The Kinks followed by The Velvet Underground. As far as favorite album goes, I have to give it to Derek and the Domino's album Layla. I suppose my favorite song would be A Day in the Life by The Beatles though there are so many.

As you can see I'm pretty much into classic rock. I do however like pretty much everything; yes even a bit of rap though I dislike rap in general.

Cake and Tom Waits are the only bands/artists I follow.

I listen to stuff that gets my head moving mostly.

Synth, Euro-rap, Reggae, anything I find and can stand.

Bands that I will NOT listen to: Train, Barenaked Ladies, New Radicals, Dave Matthews Band and Matchbox 20/Rob Thomas.

I can find something I like in about anything that I listen to. Generally don't care for generic 'pimps and hos' rap or cookie cutter rock/metal, and *most* new country-western music is awful. I go to shows almost every weekend, and a lot of my favorite bands are local. Go Minneapolis!

Lately I have been listening to a lot of Lamb of God, American Analog Set, Ray Charles, Rilo Kiley and little old Michael Jackson.

PINK FLOYD!

Lemon Jelly (Not sure what genre - very instrumental. WMP11 says "Electronica and dance")

Gorillaz

Fischerspooner (Electronic type stuff)

Outkast (Only good rap... maybe De La Soul as well)

The Prodigy

I like a lot of Mashups. Two crap songs made into a good tune. I've got some other music on WMP but I usually don't like stuff on the radio enough to buy it. I hear some good tunes but after hearing them umpteen times in a day they get annoying.

I used to like The Chemical Brothers but they pissed me off so I don't listen any more. Like I said in another thread - Anything that reminds me of last year in my life is very bad.

I've got a pretty varied taste in music. I'll flit from one genre to the next on a whim. I do not like most rap and most country. I'm big into metal and classic rock. I can't say there are too many newer bands that interest me though I do quite like My Chemical Romance.

Favorite bands: Beatles, Pink Floyd, Rush, Elvis Costello. Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Ramones

Guilty Pleasure: Tom Jones

Like allot of others here I'm pretty varied. And like many others Most rap and country aren't on my lists.

Hendrix, Beatles, Wings, The Doors, Rush, Zeppelin, Audioslave, Megadeth, many other classic rock and newer rock bands but those listed I can listen to start to finish. My guilty pleasure would be big band. The kind of stuff they listened to during the second world war, a few good stations on www.shoutcast.com for that.
