Xbox problems
«

I've been having some problems with my Xbox. Randomly my CD try will just open up while I'm playing. Its not even like its just opening up and ending my game. It's also scratching the hell out of my disks. I opened it up and fixed it, or so I thought but I was playing fable last night and it did it again. Anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

If it is under warranty I definately suggest that.
It turns out the repair guy wasnt working today. But i definately suggest NOT trying it anymore if it is gouging you're CDs.

No, it only had a 90-day warranty. Plus I've voided it twice while trying to fix it.

I would suggest getting a Gamecube or a Playstation 2. Aside from making cool decor like the X-Box , those systems can also be used to play video games other than Halo.

But, he's evil. I don't think he can help himself.

My bet is definately not on evil.
Also i will try calling up the place agin and see if they can tell me what might be wrong with it. But i think you should call up a place and either get it repared youreslef or trade it in.
They usually only plug it in and turn it on to see if it works

Throw a mod in there and dump your games to the box's HDD. No CD or tray problems

i f you have an older xbox, one of the ones that came out, and you are playing fable, its probably because of the spells. I have heard from a lot of people telling me that lightning realyl screwed up their boxes, and when they tried to get it fixed, they kinda got screwed over. It works they just cant play fable anymore

I don't think that's it, because i got my Xbox like a year and a half after it came out and i can't play any games.

It sounds to me like the laser isn't where it's supposed to be anymore, and unless you can find a way to fix it yourself (it's pretty easy to do on a PS2, but I don't know about XBOX), you'll have to take it in to get repaired. Either way, it sounds like a minor hardware problem that'll cause major damage to your discs until it is rectified.
