Just saw it. It was not as good as Spiderman 2, but it was better than expected. This is a completely different kind of movie than the other two in the series. It's not a whamo-blamo action superhero movie. There is a lot of drama and talking and just plain weirdness. The action sequences are actually few and far between. A lot of geeks were really dissappointed. It wasn't the fap fap fan service they expected.

The script does actually manage to juggle three villains in and out of the story line in ways that make sense, but not perfectly. There were one or two parts where the story became slightly disjointed or jumped in a way that just didn't feel like a smooth transition, particularly right before the climactic final battle (which was not all that climactic).

There isn't anything overly incredibly ridiculously stupid, but there aren't any major payoffs either. Whisps of after movie buzz included "too much talking" and "too emo". Ironically, these are many of the same people who managed to sit through four hours of two, three-foot gay men making out on the slope of mount doom and call it a masterpiece.

All in all, it isn't awesome, but it's a passable close to the Spiderman story and it doesn't have any ewoks.

I thought it was the best of the trilogy. I liked the diaolouge, thought the action scenes were the best in the series, thought Peter Parker was a complete badass, particularly the jazz club scene, really I simply think everything was really fun. It was far from cinema gold, but it was undeniably fun.

The only thing thing that really bothered me was how the villains came to be, asteroid and sand thing just kinda there, were really lame. Also the amount of times the villains take off their masks is stupid as well. Other than that... really fun stuff.

we saw it the other day.  I didnt like it as much as the first 2, and the whole time it was me and a friend making perverted comments back and forth.

my favorite part is when the guy grabs maryjane and says "My spidey-senses are tingling if you know what I mean" and starts poking his finger.

I watched it last night at the drive-in. I thought it was good, but nothing great. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 7.5

Yes ,We still have a drive in, The Winter Drive-In in Wintersville, OH. It's great especially when you have kids. I've been going to this drive in for 15+ years. They updated the sound a few years ago and now the sound is transmitted through FM radio. Two movies for $7 and you bring your own chairs, blanket, food and drink, I love the drive-in. I will probably go this weekend too.

$9.00 here.

****SPOILERS AHEAD****

I think that it was the worst of the trilogy thus far (#2's the best imo). I liked Sandman and the comicbook storylines. However, I think that they could've done without having Topher turn into Venom 2/3rds through; his morph into Venom would've made for a better cliffhanger ending as a set up for Spiderman 4. I agree with the point that the superheroes were "unmasking" too much as well. I give it 2.5 stars (out of 4). Entertaining for sure. But only worth a rental or a matinee.

I thought they tried to cram too much into one movie. Save Venom for another movie, because he is THE Spiderman villian. When most people ask for an arch-nemesis to Spiderman, most people these days automatically say Venom.

They did a good job of tieing the concepts together, like revenge and whatnot, but I felt it moved too fast and had too much content for one movie.

Overall 7 out of 10.

I agree with that. Also Venom looked more like a black version of Carnage to me.

Some of the scenes where Parker was dark and dangerous got a little silly.
