This is still a work in progress, but still interesting. Check is out.
(LA is huge.)

Maybe I'm mistaken, but is Deltametropolis the Randstad in the Netherlands? It looks an awful lot like it.
edit: I'm not mistaken, it is.
And LA is huge indeed, these are some pretty cool pictures.
Not all of these are correct though. Just look at Berlin. He puts in all cities around it as well. Potsdam really isn't Berlin.

It is, check page three, he explains "Deltametropolis." But it is more than just Randstatd, it is Amsterdam too, as far as I know.

Randstad is pretty much the west of the country. South holland, the lower part of north holland Utrecht and a bit of Noord Brabant (those are all provinces). So it includes Amsterdam, but also Rotterdam, the Hague, Utrecht (the city) etc. etc.

Come on man! "whatever Canadian city is the largest"? Are you serious? Extra points for the first person to correctly identify the largest Canadian city.

Toronto (43n39, 79w23 EST) is Canada's largest city and the provincial capital of Ontario. Its population is 2,482,000 (Torontonians) (2003 Statistics Canada estimate); that of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is 5,600,000 (2003). Approximately one-third of the Canadian population lives within a five-hour drive of Toronto, and about one-sixth of all Canadian jobs lie within the city limits.

Montreal, you know, the city that wishes it wasn't Canadian.

Since I know there are some Detroit forumers here, I thought I should let you know, Detroit was added to the thread.

Woot! It's pretty big, too. Makes me wish we could get a mayor in office that would take care of the major problems in this city.

American cities, on the average, are a lot larger in land area than European of Asian counterparts, because we have nothing but space.
