Yeppers. One of my favorite car-movies of all time. The
Special Edition version
is a must-see, as it contains the original Australian voice track in 5.1 (and more importatly, the real vehicle sounds).

While I am a big fan of The Road Warrior, Mad Max was a little too gritty and brutal for me. I'm always up for good car chases and real vehicle sounds are great.
