Took some serious memory jogging, because it seemed so familiar.  Finally it came to me.  The Last Dragon.  Really cool movie when I was a kid, but difficult to watch now.

Dragons Forever.  Very hard not to recognize Benny Urquidez, with his deep dark eyes.  And Grosse Pointe Blank is still one of my favorites.
