I Won a Guitar Hero II contest!

This is damn near worth it's own topic, but for the sake of board cleanliness I'm including it here.

Den listens to WRIF (a sweet local rock station), so he might be somewhat aware of it, but I just got back from the Hard Rock Cafe in Detroit were they had a new monthly appearance called Hard Rock Wednesdays.  In addition to the radio station making an appearance there, they have a local band play at 9 pm, and the reason why I'm posting, a Guitar Hero II tournament.

The important part is that I won!  My prizes were as follows:

a WRIF T-shirt
2 tickets to the mens expo (which is just a chance for guys to get drunk and look at cool cars and cute women)
one free pass to Smokin' Aces

and the big stuff...
two tickets to the Pistons game on Valentines Day (luckily my girlfriend likes basketball  ) in the 12th row against the Spurs

and

Dinner at the Hard Rock tomorrow for me and 5 friends, followed by a limo ride to see Drowning Pool at The O nightclub in Windsor, Ontario complete with backstage passes!

Here's the list of songs I had to play:
First round I palyed Sweet Child O' Mine on Hard
Second round I played Cherry Pie, Tynstar's favorite song, on Medium
Third round was Jessica on expert
and the championship round was Hangar 18 on expert.

I pretty much smoked everybody I played against except the guy I played Jessica against.  I was leading for about 5 minutes of the song, and he took the lead with about 30 seconds left.  Luckily he had to use all of his star power to do it, so when I used mine up after that I pulled ahead and won by about 7,000 points.

The stations website is http://www.wrif.com and they took a picture of me, the other finalist, the guy that was judging the contest, and the WRIF rock girl Lisa.  I had to keep it real and wear my Def Leppard shirt for the contest.  The pictures aren't up right now, but hopefully they should be up in a day or two.

To sweeten the deal for me, I had a couple of people buy me drinks afterwards to congratulate me!  Being a nerd works out sometime. 

Edit:  I'll have pictures of all the stuff I won tomorrow.  I don't have any pictures of the actual contest itself because my girlfriend forgot her camera  .

My bud is going to one of these tommorow. He'll destroy anyone and everyone, the dude freaking beat Jordan on expert and has one of the top scores on scorehero for the song. He's insane.

I was afraid that I was going to run into one of the guys from Score Hero, but luckily I didn't.  There was some decent competition there, but nothing like the Score Hero guys.
