Apparently Cartoon Network was running one of those strange street promotions like Sony did with the PSP Graffitti.

Cuirit boards with glowing leds and hanging wires were strewn across a few cities and in some places, Boston, were mistaken as bombs.

Mass Gov. and Boston's Mayor are debating suing Cartoon Network. If they do i hope to god Western Mass gets some of the friggin finances.

I just heard the article on the radio ajnd missed a good portion of it maybe someone, or myself later, can find a news article online.

May be up to 10 "suspicious devices"? XD Dang, that is comedic gold right there. Absolutely hilarious.

This entire fiasco is hilarious. Talk about a generational divide, and poor notification to the authorities.

From AP:

"The packages in question are magnetic lights that pose no danger," Turner said in a statement. It said the devices have been in place for two to three weeks in 10 cities: Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, Ore., Austin, Texas, San Francisco and Philadelphia.

Nothing coming from those cities, why only Boston?  People a little out of touch there possibly.

Picture of the Year for 2007 has to be the bomb squad guy holding the that LED sign in his hand!  Classic!!! (see above)

I love ATHF, but I'm kinda disappointed that Adult Swim had to stoop this low to market it.

Just shows how out out of control and crazy marketing is today. God I hate advertising agencies.

This even made it to prime-time BBC TV news. I found it amusing that they had to blur out the triangle shaped "middle finger" on the American footage but left it unblurred for the BBC news.

Or did this publicity help out WAY more than they could have dreamed?
