not bad. I might be concerned about 2 starters from the same team (Staley, Ward)

Yeah, I'm kind of hoping that I can work a trade for a better number 2 back. I almost got Travis Henry instead, but the guy with the pick right before me snagged him in the third round.

I had my first draft Tuesday. I had the last pick out of 10 teams so I didn't get an elite running back but I still think I did okay.
QB
Peyton Manning
RB
Rudi Johnson
Corey Dillon
WR
Randy Moss
Andre Johnson
TE
Dallas Clark
K
Adam Viniatieri
D
Carolina
my backups are: QB Joey Harrington, RB Marshall Faulk, William Green, WR Deion Branch, Anquan Boldin, TE Itula Mili, K Martin Gramatica, D Seattle.

Nice lineup. You might want to consider starting Marshall this week as St. Louis is playing Arizona.
I also had my second draft on the 27th.
Starters
QB Chad Pennington
RB Shaun Alexander
RB Travis Henry
WR Santanna Moss
WR Chris Chambers
WR Isaac Bruce
TE Boo Williams
K Josh Brown
Def Tampa Bay
Bench
QB Brad Johnson
QB Eli Manning
RB Eddie George
RB Chris Perry
WR Kevin Dyson
WR Kelley Washington
WR Joey Galloway
WR Rod Gardner
My last league I'm splitting a team with one of my friends and I had him do the draft, so I'm not sure exactly who I have in that league. I know I have Michael Vick and Ahman Green, but I'm not sure of everyone.

Well, unless Ahman Green puts up huge numbers tonight, it looks like I'll be starting the season 1-2. In one league in particular I had a great week and had the second most points in the league, but the guy I'mplaying against had an even better week. Final score in that one is 114-105.

I totally don't understand the fascination with Fantasy Football, or how it got so big so fast. (This is a new thing, right?) How does it even work, anyway?

I didn't either until I got into it. Basically the way it works is you draft a team of players and you get points depending on thier performance. For example for every 10 yards a reciever gains you get 1 point, for every touchdown it's 6, and so on. It makes the games much more exciting to watch because you then have a reason to watch a 2-14 team.

Interesting. Still, it's not something I could see myself getting into, at least not until the Bengals win a Super Bowl. (HA!)

I think anyone can get into it if they took the chance. Hell, two of my friends girlfriends have jumped into the act. And they don't even like football.

I was forced to do this in English freshman year by Mr. Koral. Being forced to do that made me hate the "sport." It wasn't really that much fun anyways. Then again, it would be a struggle to list 5 players currently in the NFL.

It's not that new. I've been in doing it since 1992. If I recall correctly my original starting lineup was:
QB - Dan Marino
RB - Thurman Thomas
RB - Herschel Walker
WR - Jerry Rice
WR - Art Monk
K - Roger Ruzek
Over the years some of the guys I drafted their rookie years were, Jerome Bettis, Steve McNair, Tyrone Wheatley, Marvin Harrison and Priest Holmes.
