Time for a little organizing...

So after taking some pics of my Christmas haul, I found my collection and gaming area to be in shambles. I took some before and after pics, let me know what you think.
Before:

And now:

The box on the bottom right of the bookcase is full of loose NES games. For the bookshelf, pay notice to the floor and the top of the shelf.
What a disaster that area was, those extra items are now sitting nicely on a bookshelf in my game room as shown:

The bookshelf could definitely use some more work, but I spent hours cleaning up this dump today and just don't have the energy to do anymore. What do you guys think?

Looks good, but get a bigger stand under the TV to make room for the consoles. It hurts my eyes to see them on the floor waiting to get stepped on.

Great Job
. It looks a lot more neat then my stuff. But I agree with NES_Rules, do you really need 3 SNES's and 2 NES's in your entertainment center.

Haha, I just tossed them there to clean up. Unfortunately, the bottom shelf is slanted and I wouldn't really be able to plug in any controllers, so for a long time I didn't use it at all. Figure its not a bad place to put some of my extra systems. My extra TurboGrafx-16 found its way onto one of my white shelves. Thanks for the feedback guys!

multiple NES and SNES systems are with the TV, but the Atari is relegated to the corner

Good point, maybe I'll switch one out for the 2600. I've been selling off pretty much all my 2600 stuff so that system is out just for games to be tested before shipping. I don't have enough room for this stuff as it is, the 2600 goes first.

very nice. I will upload how organized I am, and we can compare.
EDIT:
damn, batteries are out. anyways, yours is nicer, I just have a dimly lit closet with random consoles and sega genesis controllers allover the floor.

If I had some before and after pics from the last party I threw, you guys would be shocked. It looked like every single game I had was played and put back improperly, cords from controllers were everywhere, and there was a broken bottle of Vodka sitting in the middle of my game room. It took me almost an entire day to restore order. At least I had fun messing everything up
