Thanks for choosing that particular game, I'm a big fan of puzzle games and will have to pick that one up.  Cool

Here's the next one:

For what system? I was thinking that but the Atari 2600 Demon Attack doesn't look like that.

Now you see how low I had to lower my standards to in order to beat your highscore. j/k  Wink  Tongue (still waiting for you to set the bar again BTW)

Seriously though going from the INTV back to the 2600 version is a slap to the face for sure, those pics are actually of the boss battle that you fight after you defeat a few waves of enemies, here's a pic of the levels between boss fights:

sorry for the tangent guys, back to the screen game....

imagic was a strange company

they were brilliant with their work on the VCS and INTV, in fact they made new versions of Atlantis and Demon Attack for the system that were so different, they really deserved to be named differently.

demon attack had top notch graphics for the VCS, the details in the demons could not be replicated on the INTV, however, the VCS couldnt handle the number of sprites and colors on the INTV version.   The demon base was awe inspiring as for this second grader of the 80s.

however Imagic decided to take the opposite approach for porting their games to the Atari computer line, even though the 8-bit could easily handle improved versions of the intellivision games, they made near direct ports (graphics and all) of the VCS games.  It is a truly sad effort

here's a link for more pics multi-system:

Demon Attack pics

I've played the Vic version as well, it seems a bit slower than the 2600 one, the C64 version sure looks nice, the mothership is a bit strange looking though.
