My first impression of the PS3 is "Meh, who cares."  There just aren't too many decent games out for it now that would warrent a purchase.  Maybe Resistance: Fall Of Man, but other than that... slim pickin's.

haven't played one yet. not really in a rush to either. i have both a ps1 and ps2 and i am not impressed by either. so i have no expectations for the ps3.

The launch games for the PS3 are weak.  I still have about 50 PS2 games I haven't got to, so I have time.

the local targets had one for play.  the game on display was the new nba game and while i generaly dont care for sports titles i didnt see where anything was improved on the ps2.  also the controler did not impress me much.  maybe in a year or three they will have a handfull of titles out to make me want one.  right now, there isnt a single title that makes me want to go spend a month or more wages on a system and a game.  not one game at all actualy which is a disapointment.

Funny thing is how much stores hype-up the PS3. Listen to my local game store, and there should be like 100 games available upon it's release. Who knows, by the time the PAL regions get the PS3 there may very well be.
