OP, your story reminded me of something that happened when I was at a CD/Game Exchange a couple years ago.  Some guy that looked to be in his thirties was looking through the N64 games and had a stack of around 10 carts that were around $2.50 - $5 each.   Didn't see much of what he had but I remember seeing Diddy Kong Racing (which I already had, so no big loss).  I managed to take a look at the stuff and spotted a Beetle Adventure Racing cart he didn't see, which was awesome because I had wanted the game for a long time.  In the end, he bought around 12 games.  Not sure if he was an ebay seller or what.
