I will give a hint now. If its not guessed in another day or two then I will say what game it is.

It was developed by Dynamix and published by Sierra for the Amiga,DOS and Mac.

Its one of my personal favorites and a childhood memory of mine is watching my brother play it on what I think was our families first computer which had Windows 3.1 or 3 I believe.

Looking at those boats and remembering a game reviewed in a gaming magazine years ago I'm gonna put 2 and 2 together and hope the answer is close to 4. I say 'Heart of China'.

YES!!!!!Its the only game I know of that asks you to go fetch seagull poop (for a Chinese medicine maker to make you some healing stuff), thats why I used DOSBOX to go get that screenshot myself, because none of the screenshots were the Seagull poop dialog online. Who knows though, I'm sure someone here could name one oddly. I can't even remember any games where a task is to get poop in general. But I'm sure I have played one in some humorous game.
