Hooray for vertical shooters! They are one of my fav genres.

Is that SNES? I want to say Acrobat mission on the SNES, but I don't think I have played this one. That ship reminds me of the ship I remember from the cover of Acrobat Mission.

Bears a striking resemblance actually, but don't think that's it.

That one looks more cartoon-y. They should have licensed it out and put a duck dodgers label or something to it. ha ha ha

It's a SNES game. And shooters rock.

Glad I at least knew which system it was from. I am pretty good about that at least. ha ha

Is it R-type? Or R-type II or III? Whichever one was on the SNES.

R-Type's horizontal, not vertical. Wink

Darn. Was R-type as difficult as Gradius was, being horizontal?

R-Type, like Gradius, has its patterns to memorize. It's not overly difficult as far as shooters go, and I think R-Type as it aged got easier. Of course, when you compare it to the bullet-hell games and newer shmup's, it's a cake-walk, but take that as you will.

Space Megaforce from Toho?

You got it, although you have to say it like the voice at the beginning of the game, "SPAAAAACE MEGAFORCE! presented by Toho"
